Meetings

Meetings are normally on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 PM.

First Monday meeting:
The SEPTEMBER meeting will be on September 8 – the second Monday of the month because the first Monday is LABOR DAY.  It will be at Oxford Hall, 1135 Oxford.   “Oxford Hall” is located behind Mike Head’s house at 1135 Oxford St. Houston 77008 in the Heights, just north of I-10.  Oxford street runs north-south between Heights Blvd to the west and Studewood to the east, and is north of 11 ½ Street and south of 12th Street.  Use the Studewood exit from I-10.  Mike’s house is located on the west side of Oxford. There are two large magnolia trees in the front yard. Parking on the street, both Oxford and 12th, is ok, but avoid driveways.

Meetings consist of a "music circle", allowing each attendee an opportunity for a musical performance, share a song, tall tale, announcement, or other item which he or she may wish to share with the group.   Non-performers are just as welcome as performers. After all, musicians, singers, storytellers, all need an audience.
